did a mini euro trip to see if i'd like to live there in the future & to meet K (aka my fav person in the world)
day 1. found out ICN duty free electronics section sells rice cookers. also bought Sony WF-1000XM5 for the flight as i lacked any ANC hearing devices.

arrived early amsterdam centraal and sat waiting for K to then go to the hotel.

day 2. the day after we went to ARTIS zoo, which was the best zoo i've been to. big fan of the 'forest house' which was on brand for me and had a sloth and tiny monkeys out and about. also saw the planetarium show which was about using spectroscopy to find which planets might harbor life.
a convo we over heard near the insectarium was quoted through the trip:
"where do you wanna have lunch?"
"somewhere near the insects"

winton

had incredible carbonara at the al dente pasta lab. sat by the window where too many people stared at us for too long while passing on their bicycles :D :D :D :D :D

day 3. had some incredible balkava n had a chill time before going out to "thuishaven"

i had an awful awful time due to the hostile crowd and bartender but fatboy slim is a great dj

day 4. had some incredible pofferjes at the pancake club before going to van gogh.

there was a damien hirst zebra at the lobby of stedelijik museum. in retrospect we should have gone in but whatever

the pink peach tree:

the sun flower was bigger than i expected:

shenanigans:

after we went to vegan junk food bar which was awful awful awful.i guess the owners changed since K last visited.

finished off the night with some strange wine

day 5. we were supposed to be on a eurostar but uh the dog ate our tickets so we got on a flight to luton instead

the coach to victoria station we passed by baker street (!) and mi6 (!)

day 6. we went touristing around covent gardens, soho, big ben, etc

southbank skatepark (!)

day 7. we were gonna go to THE museum but i will be coming back + we were suuuuper tired from the days before so we had a chill day with blue (the airbnb cat). i did some souvenir shopping (crisps n chocolate orange, pot noodle), and ate greggs sausage roll. the vegan sausage was waaay tastier.

day 8. final day :( at heathrow we had our final meal of the trip at co-pilot's bar n kitchen. i had a guiness (split the g nicely, first time ever btw) and the best fish and chips of my life.

there was an observation deck in the gates area so i went up and got whelmed

final thoughts: i will live in london and i miss K
