went to the umru show at cakeshop yesterday (sept 12 2025) it was raining cats and dogs
i went with lonneker (who i think is changing their alias, TBA) who is mutuals with umru so just like last time we got on the guest list etc etc
*big shout outs to lonneker and i have a lot to thank him
im not exactly sure how to review a dj set- he played in the 130~150bpm range, the usual stuff.
the highlight for me was when he looped a part of underscores' locals and used the cue on the cdj on a kick to make a impromptu jersey style remix
i had a lot of fun, and umru remains my favorite DJ and producer
side note: im getting really tired of aura farmers so i tried not be while standing in the booth, and seeing my hair from last night, id say i was successful :^)
