what a fucking disaster that was, but all self inflected so what can you do
i don't want to even listen back to my set because i think it would but me in a worse mood
and the set got copyright blocked on youtube which initially i found funny, not in a haha type of way, but a coping kind of way, sucks because i partially prepped the pool of songs around clip farming, yeah i know, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
and i can't even make content, at least for now, i did DM them but if its lost media then thats just an L i have to live with
the set's coherence suffered greatly, which affected the quality of the set, which was because i wanted to play 100~200bpm and all the genres, because of all the stupid mashups and my remixes and stuff, so that i can make a damn post on instagram featuring all of them
specifics though, after my first 4(?) songs, which was all brazil funk sorta, incl my new rocketeer remix, my energy depleted, specifically because i played rocketeer twice, because i missed my transition point, and also i thought it was a banger and people would come in and stuff but nobody did for the longest time and those were parts of the set i sorta had a decent plan for
the idea was go 140->120, 120->100 to 198-160 then end. but after rocketeer my mind went blank to the point i couldn't read the tracks on the cdj. kind of like when youre trying read a book in a dream. the letters are there, but your brain not registering any of it
so what did i learn from this? plan better i guess. i joke in my mind how im not an open format dj but a gaping format dj due to how incoherent everything i play is. the idea so far was "here are 30 tracks i found that i really like and you will listen to them". but i think i need to make more edits of songs myself in playable bpm ranges and drum patterns.
extremely disappointing day. but i think ill record my cakeshop set as redemption. even though this was supposed to be redemption for visla- which for some reason i feel more proud of this one, which is the silver lining lmfao
